São Martinho S.A., together with its subsidiaries, plants sugarcane; and produces and sells sugar, ethanol, and other sugarcane byproducts in Brazil. It operates through Sugar, Ethanol, Electricity, Real Estate businesses, Yeast, and Other Products segments. The company offers various types of raw sugar; hydrous ethanol, which is used in tanks of cars; anhydrous ethanol that is used as a gasoline additive in gasoline-powered vehicles; and industrial ethanol, which is primarily used in the production of paints, cosmetics, and alcoholic beverages. It also generates electricity through sugarcane bagasse. In addition, the company provides byproducts, including yeast used in animal feed, as well as fuel oil, which is used as a solvent and pure amyl alcohol. Further, it engages in the agricultural production activities; import and export of goods, products, and raw materials; exploitation of land through lease and agricultural partnership; development, rental, and sale of real estate properties; and provision of storage services. The company was founded in 1914 and is headquartered in Pradópolis, Brazil. São Martinho S.A. is a subsidiary of LJN Participações S.A.
